TESTIMONIALS
Hello Lisa,
I received such positive feedback from teachers after your visit. They said the kids were so excited. We hadn’t had an author visit in years. Thanks so much for coming. My most reluctant reader, a 3rd grade boy, asked to read the book after your visit. That is priceless. I loved the book trailer as a library media specialist because it allowed my students to see what other students their age are doing with multimedia presentations.
My 2nd-5th students are still so excited, they are willing to read a chapter book, a novel. Wow! My 2nd graders are researching the planet Neptune because of the book. It’s a wonderful motivator to teach research skills with science content while building a love for books. I’m impressed and I loved how you taught the writing process. It gave students a connection and a real life examplet...thanks so much for that. It added purpose to their writing. A student recently stopped me in the hall and wanted to show me a book he wrote and illustrated. Another priceless moment. We are so thankful. Please come again to promote the next book. We are already looking forward to it.

"Lisa, thank you for coming to our school on Thursday, November 19, 2009 to
help us celebrate Family Literacy Night. You were an entertaining and
informative speaker to both our students and parents. The children
enjoyed your presentation during the day and your message to our parents
about the importance of reading with their children was excellent! Good
luck with your upcoming books."

"What an outstanding presentation! The kids and the teachers loved it! Although Accelerated Reader does not have a test for Pond Punkies yet, we have made our own so the kids can get credit for it! They can't wait for book 2. We wish you much success."

"I just wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation along with the children. It is completely obvious the passion you feel about writing and you were able to relay it to every child (and adult) in the room. Great job! We look forward to seeing you again."

"I thought you did an extraordinary job in relating our writing curriculum to your own writing process. The presentation really engaged my students and motivated them to become better writers. Many of my reluctant readers were so excited to read your book after meeting you, I couldn't get them to stop. Thank you for encouraging our students."
